Treat the Daily Mix as a decision set, not a feed
The Daily Mix gives you a small set of candidates with a compatibility label, so you can decide and be done. That boundary is the point: a finished set you can act on beats an endless feed you scroll through.
Work the set in one pass. Like and save the profiles you would genuinely message, pass on the rest, then close the app and let your signals accumulate.
Send clean signals with every action
The mix responds to what you do, so vague feedback teaches vague lessons. Like and save only for real fit, and when you pass, attach the reason that fits instead of leaving the profile hanging.
Reasoned passes are more useful than silent ones because they tell the mix what "not for me" actually means.
- Like and save for genuine fit
- Pass with a reason: distance, intent, shared interests, or profile detail
- Use never show or block only when you are certain
Take re-surfaces as a second look, not a loop
A profile you hide for now steps out of rotation for a few days and can come back with a note that you passed on it before. Context changes, so a calm second look is healthy.
If you pass again, that is data too. You are not stuck in a loop; you are teaching the mix what to stop offering.
Tune one variable at a time
Distance, intent alignment, and gender preference shape tomorrow’s set more directly than anything else. Adjust one, leave the rest alone, and judge the next few mixes before changing more.
Calibration changes who appears in your set, not who is compatible with you. Compatibility labels come from the assessment and profile signals, so scores stay the same while the set gets easier to answer.
